Choose Your Path

Three streams. All lead to a career.

Every resident completes their schooling and farm life first. Then they choose the direction that fits who they are.

Stream A
Technology & IT

For those drawn to building, coding, and the digital world. One year of full-time industry training — cloud, networking, databases, DevOps — plus an optional advanced year for professional certification.

Stream B
Arts & Culture

Two sub-streams rooted in the authentic cultural expression of Cape Flats communities — led by Bliksemstraal (Charl van der Westhuizen), KYKNET Fiesta Award-winning artist and mentor of three Red Bull BC One world-level champions, and Bboy RAM1 (Ramone De Wet), founding POC member, Global Dance Supreme Living Legend, and pioneer of Khoi-San movement in South African breaking.

B1 — Breaking Academy
Olympic-recognised discipline. Cape Town venues, with a residential academy pathway as the programme scales. Competitive and performance pathway.
B2 — Music Production & Creation
Professional music production, sound engineering, and digital distribution. Cape Town studio spaces and satellite cohorts.

Farm at sunrise

A self-sustaining home
that teaches everything.

The farm is not a backdrop — it is the intervention itself. Residents grow their own food, maintain animals, and keep the operation running. This creates genuine self-sufficiency while teaching things no classroom can replicate.

Waking up with purpose. Working alongside others. Seeing food grow from seed to plate. These experiences build the discipline, resilience, and dignity that carry graduates through their training and into careers.

Stream A — IT Academy

Industry skills. Real curriculum. Real careers.

Our IT Academy is not a short course. It is a full-year, full-time programme designed by Quantum Horizon engineers — the same people who build enterprise cloud infrastructure for major South African financial institutions.

Graduates leave with practical skills, a real portfolio, and industry certifications. An optional second year takes them to full professional proficiency.

What You Leave With

  • Job-ready IT skills after Year 1
  • Industry certifications (AWS, CompTIA, Microsoft)
  • A portfolio of real deployed projects
  • Employment pipeline through Quantum Horizon
  • Full proficiency via the optional Advanced Year

AI Intensive Track

The frontier of what
technology can do.

Most IT programmes teach you how to use technology that already exists. This track teaches you how to build the technology that is coming next. AI agents, autonomous systems, and the model context protocol are reshaping every industry on earth — and this cohort will be trained to build with them, not just use them.

Module 01 · Foundations
How Large Language Models Actually Work

Strip away the hype. Understand how LLMs are trained, how they reason, how they fail, and how to work with them as infrastructure — not magic. Covers tokenisation, context windows, temperature, fine-tuning concepts, and model selection for real-world tasks.

LLMsPrompt EngineeringContext WindowsModel SelectionPython
Module 02 · Agent Architecture
Building AI Agents That Actually Do Things

Move from chatbot to autonomous agent. Learn how to design agents with memory, tool use, and decision loops. Build agents that can search the web, run code, query databases, send emails, and chain complex tasks — with guardrails that keep them reliable.

Module 03 · MCP
Model Context Protocol — The New Standard

MCP is the emerging protocol for connecting AI models to the real world — tools, data sources, APIs, and enterprise systems. This module covers building MCP servers, writing MCP clients, integrating with production data, and understanding why MCP is becoming the infrastructure layer for the agentic era.

Module 04 · Knowledge & Retrieval
RAG, Vector Databases & Grounded AI

LLMs hallucinate when they don't know something. Retrieval-Augmented Generation solves this — connecting models to real, current knowledge through vector search. Build RAG pipelines from scratch, manage embeddings, and connect AI to enterprise document stores, databases, and live data feeds.

Module 05 · Multi-Agent Systems & Deployment
Orchestrating Agents at Scale

Single agents are powerful. Multiple agents working together are transformational. Learn multi-agent orchestration, agent-to-agent communication, human-in-the-loop workflows, and how to deploy production-grade AI systems to the cloud — containerised, observable, and cost-efficient.

What you leave with

  • Working AI agents built and deployed to the cloud
  • A functional MCP server connected to real data
  • A RAG pipeline over a real document corpus
  • Multi-agent system as your capstone project
  • Portfolio demonstrating production AI engineering
  • Direct pathway into Quantum Horizon's AI project pipeline

Where We Operate

What we have. What we are building.

Hope Horizon is operationally active and programmatically ready. The next phase of scale is unlocked by physical infrastructure — the farm, and permanent satellite buildings in Cape Town that allow urban cohorts to run in parallel.

Active Now
Cape Town Satellite Venues

Stream B Breaking Academy and Music Production cohorts run at community spaces across the Cape Flats and metro. Youth participate immediately — no relocation required — while permanent facilities are secured.

DLRRD Application Submitted
Residential Farm Academy

Middelpost/Kruispad, Swartland — 488 hectares. Application confirmed open with the Department of Land Reform. Once secured, this becomes the residential hub for all three programme streams, with dormitories, IT lab, recording studio, and performance space.

DPWI Engagement Active
Cape Town Urban Buildings

Permanent Cape Town buildings are needed to run IT cohorts, Breaking Academy sessions, and Music Production studios in parallel with the farm. Hope Horizon is engaging DPWI Western Cape regarding 959 surplus state properties under Minister Macpherson's NPO placement programme.
